This is the fourth article in the Lotto Lies series. The first article discussed how to improve your chances of winning the lottery. The second article revealed a Lottery Secret; the truth about the word Random. The third article dispelled the 'fair game' myth. This article addresses another common myth about the lottery: A computer can't help improve your odds of winning the lottery. Another lie bites the dust.
Lotto Lie #4 - Using a computer won't help you improve the odds of winning the lottery.
The Hypocrite and the Ostrich
There is no shortage of skeptics out there that will agree with this statement. On the one hand, the skeptic says you can't improve your odds of winning because it's a random game of chance. And yet, the very same skeptic uses software to make investment decisions in the stock market. Their refusal to acknowledge their own hypocrisy can sometimes border on whimsical. But, without quality software, even the skeptics have a case.
There are times when I've speculated that these skeptics come from a lineage of the human species that is genetically linked with the Ostrich family. They keep their head buried in the sand and adamantly refuse to look. They grit their teeth and scrunch their eyes together so tightly that you can see the veins on the side of their head throbbing. They scream, "Go away! Go away!" They seem to be afraid that if they were forced to look at a lottery trend, they would melt like the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of OZ.
Fortunately, this branch of the Ostrich family is becoming an endangered species as more and more people overcome their fear of melting and take a look. When it comes to the lottery, the old adage "Seek and ye shall find.", still applies. So, let's go looking. Do You Own a Lemon?
There are many Lottery Programs on the market that, simply put, aren't worth a &#%@*! Unfortunately, if you own one of these, then Lotto Lie #4 isn't a lie after all. So, let's start by putting that possibility aside. What a Serious Lottery Player needs is the Best Lottery Software program that provides what they need, when they ask for it; like a genie. Back in the day, the best genies lived in lamps. Today, they live on your computer.
Serious Lottery Players find trends and patterns in every lottery around the world every day. These players are looking for anything that will improve the odds and increase their chances of winning the jackpot. Software simply makes the task much easier. So, I'm going to use computer software to reveal a very simple lottery trend and send 'Lotto Lie #4' packing.
That's Odd
Skeptics of lottery trends don't hesitate to roll out this statement in defense of their position. "All wagers are equally likely to win." This may surprise you but I agree with this statement. However, at the same time, I'm not going to play 1-11-19-27-35-47 as a wager in the next drawing. Why not? Because, the wager contains all odd numbers.
To help make my point, let's use the software to analyze all 25,827,165 possible wagers in the Lotto Texas 6/54 lottery. Relatively speaking, there aren't very many wagers with 6 odd numbers. In fact, only 1% of all possible winning wagers contain 6 odd numbers. So, the odds are 1:100 that the winning numbers will all be odd. Now, the same thing is true for 0 odd numbers; in other words all even.
Winners and Losers
Now, the vast majority of people at the track are not going to bet on a 1:100 long shot. And, if the odds on a Sunday football game are 1:100 against the Slippery Rock Silver Fish, a smart person is not going to take that bet. And yet, for some unknown reason, some people play all odd numbers or all even numbers in every lottery drawing. Do you think, that if these people had a computer and some good software, they would continue to make these wagers?
This is just a very simple example of what's possible with a computer and the Best Lottery Software. In fact, it's just the tip or the iceberg. The genie is out of the bottle and could be on your computer.
